Directions on how to get to the Chinese Cultural Centre
By bus
There are plenty of buses heading up and down East Hastings
Street and East Pender Street which you can take to Chinatown. Just get of at Carrall Street and head on
over to the south east corner of East Pender and Carrall. Look for our famous “China Gate”. Don’t be afraid to ask the bus driver for
direction if needed.
By Sky Train
Take the sky train and get off at Stadium Station. Then go down the stairs to Keefer Place. Walk west to Carrall Street and head north
(left) on Carrall. Then walk east
(right) on East Pender and you will see our beautiful “Zhong Hua Men” (China
Gate). The Terminal Station is a bit
farther but head north (towards the mountains) on Main Street, left on East
Pender and you will get here.
By Car
If you're driving up from the United States, highway 99 will
turn into Oak Street as you enter the city. Turn right on King Edward (25th
Avenue), then left on Cambie. After crossing the bridge to downtown, take the
far right exit to Pacific Boulevard. This will take you to Carrall Street on
your left (it will come right after Abbott Street). Once on Carrall Street, go
straight for a couple of blocks until you see East Pender Street. Make a right
turn on Pender and you will find us right on the corner. For the best parking,
turn left from Carrall into the parking lot (this is before you hit Pender
Street). It's $3.00 for all day parking.
If you're coming from the Trans-Canada highway (highway 1) take
the Grandview Highway exit which will take you west into the city. This becomes
12th Avenue, and turn right on the Kingsway. This merges into Main Street which
will take you into Chinatown. You'll see the signs. Turn left on East Pender,
left again on Carrall Street (just after China Gate) and you'll see the parking
lot on the right.
